MessageMeaningWhat to do
NPM_CLI_DEPRECATEDYour terminal found the deprecated npm package instead of the InFlow application.npm uninstall -g @inflowpayai/inflow, then INSTALL INFLOW
inflow: command not foundYour terminal cannot find InFlow. Installation may be incomplete, or its folder may be missing from PATH.Confirm installation completed, then open a new terminal. For the default macOS hosted installation, add ~/.local/bin to PATH. For Homebrew, check Homebrew's shell setup. On Windows, reopen the terminal after installation. On Linux, confirm the native package installed successfully.
'irm' is not recognizedThe command was entered in a shell such as Command Prompt or Git Bash, rather than PowerShell.Open PowerShell and run the command there. Its prompt usually starts with PS C:\>.
Use PowerShell on WindowsThe shell installer does not support Git Bash, MSYS, or Cygwin on Windows.Use PowerShell or WinGet.
systemd is requiredThe Linux vault services need systemd to run.Use a Debian/Ubuntu or Fedora/RHEL system with systemd running.
bash: line 1: <!DOCTYPE html>The download returned a web page instead of the script. A network sign-in page, proxy, or access restriction may be intercepting it.Check whether your network requires a browser sign-in or blocks the download. You can also DOWNLOAD THE RELEASE.
VAULT_LOCKED mid-sessionThe vault is locked. This can happen after inactivity or when your computer sleeps.Run inflow vault unlock in your terminal, then retry. Enter your passphrase only in the terminal, not in the agent's chat.
No InFlow tools in your agentThe MCP server may be unconfigured, disabled, or unable to start.Check your agent application's MCP error log and confirm it can find InFlow. Follow CONNECT TO AGENT, then reconnect the server or restart the application.

Still stuck? Open an issue in INFLOWPAYAI/INFLOW-CLI with your operating system, installation method, error message, and the output of inflow --version and inflow vault status. Do not include passphrases, API keys, or other credentials.
