INSTALL

Get started with InFlow CLI

Install InFlow on your computer to discover services and make payments from your terminal or through an agent. Choose an installation method below, sign in, then connect your agent.

01

Install

macOS, Linux
curl -fsSL https://inflowcli.ai/install.sh | bash
Windows PowerShell
irm https://inflowcli.ai/install.ps1 | iex

The installer selects the download for your computer and verifies its signature before installing it. Run the same command when you want to update InFlow. To read the macOS and Linux script before running it:

curl -fsSL https://inflowcli.ai/install.sh | less

On Linux, use a Debian/Ubuntu or Fedora/RHEL system with systemd. Install curl, gpg, and gpgv before running the hosted installer. Alpine, BusyBox, and musl-only environments are not supported. macOS and Windows support x64 and ARM64.

macOS
brew tap inflowpayai/tap
brew install --cask inflow

If you install with Homebrew, use brew for future updates too. Running the hosted script would create a separate installation.

Windows
winget install --id InFlowPayAI.InFlow --exact

If you install with WinGet, use winget for future updates too.

Use one of the installers above, not npm

npm install -g @inflowpayai/inflow does not install a working CLI. It installs a notice that reports NPM_CLI_DEPRECATED. If you installed that package, remove it first so your terminal can find the InFlow application instead. See TROUBLESHOOTING for the removal command.

02

Check your installation

Run the commands for your operating system. They show where InFlow is installed and which version you have.

macOS and Linux
command -v inflow
inflow --version
Windows PowerShell
Get-Command inflow | Select-Object -ExpandProperty Source
inflow --version
Command not found: inflow

If your terminal cannot find InFlow, first check that installation completed and open a new terminal to refresh PATH. If you used the hosted script on macOS, add ~/.local/bin to your shell PATH. Homebrew and Windows use different installation locations. If you still cannot run InFlow, follow TROUBLESHOOTING before continuing.

03

Unlock and authenticate

Run these commands in your terminal. On first use, create a vault PIN or passphrase; on later visits, enter your existing one. Then follow the login URL and phrase shown by the CLI to approve access in your browser.

inflow vault unlock
inflow auth login --client-name "Claude Code"
AFTER AUTHORIZATION
✓ Successfully authenticated!
Credentials saved locally.
Keep your vault passphrase private

Enter your PIN or passphrase only when InFlow prompts for it in your terminal. Do not send it to an agent or save it in a command, environment variable, or configuration file.

04

Connect your agent

Once you are signed in, paste this prompt into a coding agent that can run commands and edit files on your computer. It will use the setup guide to connect to InFlow.

PASTE INTO YOUR AGENT
Fetch https://inflowcli.ai/skill.md and help me connect this InFlow installation to my agent environment.

If your agent cannot change its own settings, use the manual setup instructions on the Connect to agent page.

Install the agent skills

Skills give your agent instructions for discovering services, enrolling, and making payments. Use this command to install them for your agent application.

npx skills add inflowpayai/inflow-cli

For plugin, skill, and MCP setup instructions for your agent application, see CONNECT TO AGENT
